Your idea of showing this elaborate conservation effort is laudable. However, your camera work with numerous fast pans and uneven shots gives little time to appreciate the works. Really frustrating to thoughtfully observe the spaces and the art within. Che peccato.

The crazy thing is it's still active…and it will erupt again. Mount Vesuvius is listed among the most dangerous volcanoes in the world today. Volcanologists and geologists alike agree that the next volcanic eruption is overdue and that when it does happen, it will be big. It is expected in the near future, which could be devastating for the 700,000 people who live in the “death zones” around Vesuvius. Who knows, it might even bury Herculaneum and Pompeii deep underground all over again.

What an amezingly good lecture about Roman way to handle sex. Direct, simple, clear and honest. It let me think about the lack of equilibrium in our society: from one side we have the hypocritical prudes who run social media, the religious prudes invading the western culture with their irrational expectations, from the other we have the powerful industry of p*rn, the worrying increase in r*pes & $&*ual crimes. Were the Romans in an Healthier place than us about this matter? It would be dishearting because they lived in times when medicine and hygiene weren't yet effective, so there were serious problems, and still they were more mature than us. Good work, Congratulations!

By his monetary policy Septimius Severus was an early representative of statism. He expanded the money supply to cover gigantic government spending. To do this, he lowered the silver content of the denarius. The monetary catastrophe that this initiated only affected his successors. There are amazing parallels to today's reality.
